Jenny Vainisi is an award winning illustrator who has created work for a variety of clients, including major publishing companies, advertising agencies, and numerous book covers. Vainisi’s cover illustration used for the national bestseller “Faith in the Valley” by Iyanla Vanzant, appeared on the The Oprah Winfrey Show.
She received her BFA in painting from the University of Wisconsin and continued her studies in painting and graphic design at Parsons School of Design in New York. Her expressive style of illustration was originally developed using a cut-paper technique, though today her art is primarily computer generated. Displaying a natural affinity for drawing the human figure and animals, she strives to evoke a sense of whimsy and lyricism in her work, creating “little worlds” with the images she loves.
An accomplished designer and illustrator, Jenny is also a certified holistic healer from IM School of Healing Arts, New York, NY., and holds a degree in Reiki. She is also an arts educator working at local schools, where she believes that art provides a space for nurturing creative expression, confidence, and compassion. She enjoys being of service through passing on her insights and artistic knowledge to young creative minds who constantly inspire and amaze her.
Jenny currently resides in Brooklyn, New York with two furry companions, Ollie and Luca.
